Chinese Tang Dynasty Painted Pottery Foreign Groom Figure

This pottery figure was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906) and represents a foreigner, in this case, a groom. It is made from a red pottery that has been cold-painted in various coloured pigments. The figure stands with legs apart, head held up and arms raised. The facial features are quite well-defined; note also the head gear.

A good size with a height of 30 cm...

A Very Rare Chinese Yuan Dynasty Porcelain Lidded Jar - Jizhou Ware (Ex. Grahame Clarke Collection)

This very rare small jar was made in the 14th Century during the Yuan Dynasty (1279 - 1368). Although it is clearly from the Jizhou kilns of Northern China it is painted on a porcelain body under a qingbai type of glaze. Usually Jizhou wares are on a stoneware body. Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Bowl - Birds (Ex. Grahame Clarke Collection)

This blue and white porcelain bowl was made in the 16th century. It is decorated in underglaze blue of good colour, the design featuring birds perched upon blossoming branches. To the base is a seal mark (not translated).

Diameter 12 cm. It is in good condition. There is minor surface wear, some "fritting" of the glaze at the rim edge and a kiln scar at the top of the outer wall...

Chinese Northern Song Dynasty Qingbai Porcelain Bowl in Kiln Saggar

An opportunity to acquire a Northern Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1127) kiln saggar still containing its Qingbai porcelain bowl, excavated from a kiln site in the Jingdezhen area of Jiangxi province. This is one of a variety of different Qingbai porcelain wares in saggars, mostly bowls and dishes of varying sizes and patterns, that we were very lucky to be able to acquire some time ago and now offer for sale.

Nice old Tibetan or Baotou saddle carpet, with floral medallions and scroll pattern. There are some repairs and restorations which I have highlighted in enlargement two.
