SOLD Chinese 4th Rank Court Official's silk badge of a wild goose. The background is black silk and is embroidered with very fine metal threads. The sun and its tendrils are silver foiled threads tacked down with red silk threads. The flowers are also silver but tacked down with green silk threads. The flowers appear to be white chrysanthemums, a symbol of nobility, elegance, and longevity. Each flower encompasses a display blue forbidden stitch knots to create the effect of pollen being dispersed...

SOLD Beautifully embroidered robe with the twelve zodiac signs and 8 dragons. An abundance of gold thread was used to embroider the robe. The animals of the zodiac are on a gold ground encircled by a leafed border. The dragons have four claws and are within a circle on blue clouds. The robe is adorned with men, women and children dispersed with an interwoven symbol and swastikas. It measures 62" wide by 42" long.
An interesting Chinese kesi fabric depicting a scene within a courtyard with children doing acrobatic tricks. Images of women and children are often seen in Chinese art invoking a sense of prosperity for a family. Age: Republic Period. Size: height 38.5" width 10.5"

On the back of the robe there is a peach and jewels and the wheel of life on large back panel. Small overall wear and discoloration. 40" long x 62" sleeve to sleeve. Republic period. Circa 1900-1920s.

Charming patterns of ruyi scepters, insects, goldfish, birds, peony flowers, orchids and infinite lock designs. Vivid colors of pink, green, navy blue. Ending with a charming straight collar with butterflies. Age: c.1900. Size, framed: 37" length x 28.375" height.
An interesting Chinese kesi fabric depicting a scene in a courtyard with taihu style rocks set within the garden of women and children suspiciously looking at something or someone. A decorative fragment taken from the cuffs (horse-hoof shape) of a summer silk dragon robe with five clawed front facing dragons (couched pure silver wrapped threads) on a fish net like gauze weave. Each dragons appears to be wearing headdress. The cuffs from each sleeve are sewn together in the center and the borders are silver brocades. Circa, first half of 19th century. Approx. 19" x 15 1/4"
