Republic or a little later, black and red lacquered “Dou” offering stem bowl (usually fruit) for an ancestral altar table, with gilt garden and scholar’s theme. This from Guangdong and made for a Chaozhou family, aka Teo Chew, aka Chiu Chow. W: 21cm/8.2in and H: 13cm/5.1 in. There is some warpage, noted in enlargements but if just turn it the right way you won’t notice.

Chinese antique beautiful jumu (elm) wood cabinet, made with large pieces of elm wood with dramatic grain and lovely finish. Opening doors with a bar in the center. One interior shelf with two small drawers. Brass hardware with a large round lock plate and handles shaped like flower baskets.

Large Chinese pedestal desk, 4 sections, 4 drawers across the top, each pedestal has 2 additional drawers on either side, separate foot rest with cracked ice design, made of dark hardwood with light hardwood burl in three panels on top of desk, light hardwood burl also used on drawer fronts and on the top panels on the sides and around the back of the desk, Republic Period. Size: 33 3/4" high x 69" wide x 27 1/2" deep.

A small Chinese hardwood stand in the shape of an altar table, the pierced apron with lingzhi mushroom. Condition: few traces of usage, small restored crack (see photo No. 3). Dimension: c. 25.5 cm long, 10.3 cm wide, 15.2 cm high, weight: 515 g.

A Chinese censor table of classical style made of a hardwood called chicken-wing wood. The table dates to late 18th, early 19th Century. The table measures about 43" wide x 21" wide x 34" high. The condition is good, but the wood shows shrinkage at the sides of the top panel. The table, where it shows, was cleaned, and the underside was left uncleaned. There are no repairs or cracks to be noted. The table was bought, and imported from Hong Kong, about 20 years ago...

Antique Chinese apothecary chest. Upper portion has an open display shelf with pierced carved dragons on the sides and a medallion on the back depicting a bird on a blossoming tree branch. The middle portion has 19 drawers, all the same size with the exception of one wider drawer toward the bottom. Each drawer is divided into three sections for storage of medicines and herbs. There is a hidden storage area accessed by openings beneath the bottom drawers...

Beautiful Chinese antique large black lacquered cabinet, painted with charming scenes of figures in a mountain pavilion setting, the upper portion of the doors are painted with scholar's objects, the edges are painted with Shou symbols and butterflies, the interior of the cabinet has a shelf with two small drawers, early 20th century. Antique Chinese beautifully carved altar cabinet, made of jumu wood, flanged top, the top portion has four drawers carved with flowers, the middle portion has two large compartments opened by four drawers on dowel hinges and carved with lions and flowers, the bottom portion has four drawers with no carving, late 19th century. Antique Chinese fine and extremely ornate carved altar cabinet with mother of pearl inlay, pierced carved with dragons in swirling clouds, center panel with family of three fu-dogs, claw feet, mother of pearl scenes of figures, flowers and buddhist symbols, bone carved details, sides carved with flowers in vases, hardwood, 18th/ 19th century. Total size: 43" high (40 1/4" high to table top) x 52 1/2" wide x 20 1/2" deep (18" deep table top).

Chinese carved cabinet made all of beautiful hongmu hardwood, front is carved with four scenes of immortals and children with birds and animals in mountain pavilion setting, interior has a shelf with two drawers, the inside of each of the cabinet doors is also beautifully carved, brass hardware on inside and out, circa 1900.
