A Chinese censor table of classical style made of a hardwood called chicken-wing wood. The table dates to late 18th, early 19th Century. The table measures about 43" wide x 21" wide x 34" high. The condition is good, but the wood shows shrinkage at the sides of the top panel. The table, where it shows, was cleaned, and the underside was left uncleaned. There are no repairs or cracks to be noted. The table was bought, and imported from Hong Kong, about 20 years ago...

A rare, large and beautifully carved scholar's item made of huanghuali and carved with flower vases and a censer as the center piece, with the original hardware.The outer frame could be huanghuali or huali. It is unusual to find these wall decorations in huanghuali. Size: L. 86cm. W. 35cm Age: Late Ming, early Ching piece. Condition: No repairs. Antique set of two (2) Chinese wooden cabinets with a lovely black lacquer finish, beautiful inlay in a filigree style all along each cabinet's frame, multiple shelves with inlaid background of swimming koi, tree branches with blooming cherry blossoms, chrysanthemums observed by a butterfly, and two small quails huddled under a low branch...

A rare lacquered elmwood 18th century classical folding stool. The rattan seat has been professionally restored and all the hardware and wood is original. Size: H. 36cm. W. 35cm x 45cm. Age: Early Qing Dynasty.

A very rare round tea stand made of huanghuali with an insert burl wood top by a round stretcher and the splay legs ended in "Lin Zi" head feet. Age: Early 19th century.

The Ming dynasty tradition of mortise and tenon joinery can be seen and experienced in this later Ming form day bed. The Zitan bed platform rests soundly on all four inverted horse hoof legs. Mortise corners frame the woven bamboo rattan seat cover. For added flexibility, roped lacing and carved wooden support structures help reinforce the durability of its function.

The back and side rails form a lattice-like structure called “wheel of life” pattern...

Chinese pair of huanghuali wood official's hat chairs. Simply and smoothly carved with a cusped edge on the front legs. Rattan seats. Provenance: from the collection of the Santa Barbara Museum, California. (Note regarding the Museum label: little was known about Chinese hardwoods at the time this label was made. Thus the wood is mislabeled "cherry wood").

An antique ornate table from China. The top section has two drawers with a geometric patern. Below are three panels with images of fruit and leaves. The legs of the table are bordered by carvings of flowering trees.

An antique Chinese Coffer Table made entirely of Elm wood. Originating from the Zhejiang Province it epitomizes fine country furniture. It was designed with Peony drawer panels and patinated drawer pulls with a simple locking mechanism for one drawer. Below the drawers are 3 separate reticulated panels featuring a cloud motif and a pair of spandrels showcasing a scrolling leaf pattern that matches the continuity of the theme...

A wonderful example of a carved an painted mid 18th C. Mongolian storage cabinet with flat table top surface. Still retains its original pigment with floral motif seen along with the floral handcarved drawer fronts. Footed base support legs float the chest off the ground. Very sturdy and strong in construction. All original hand forged iron is there and complete.
