A marvelous three panel table screen done in a combination of Chinese hardwood and porcelain blanc de chine style panels. The central panel is an image of chrysanthemums in full bloom, the left panel is depicting bamboo and the right panel is a branch with dogwood-like flowers with a vine attached to its branches. Only one of the most beautiful wood and lacquer Chinese baskets or round box ever to pass through my hands, this stunning beauty measures 9" high with the finial x 9" diameter and has strong decorative appeal, as well as being a genuine antique. The lid has a foo dog finial and is surrounded by Buddhist symbols, truly stunning details and exquisitely carved in low relief. The box dates circa 1890, really beautiful when you consider that the box is over 118 years old.

Charming Cizhou style ceramic pillow as a cat, circa late Qing to Republic period in perfect condtion! Great expression- captures the way a cat can gaze so intently at something while appearing calm- as if it is about to pounce on an unsuspecting prey. Antique hardwood tray for serving betel or opium paraphenalia, with metal-banded corners (paktong) and finely inlaid in mother-of-pearl, the sides and skirt with scenes of figures in landscapes and other motifs. Condition: one larger loss to mother-of-pearl inlays (please see last photo) and few tiny ones. Dimension: 30.8 x 18 x 10.7 cm, weight: 1.3 kg.

Green lead glazed oil lamp or candle stand from the Han Dynasty. In excellent condition with no damage, there are still traces of the classic silver patina as may be seen in enlargements. H: 13.5cm/5.3in and D: 10.5cm/4.2in.

Large Chinese basket, tall stacking carrying basket, made of bamboo with iron handle, three compartments, outfitted with removable glass top so that it may be used as an end table or stand, the basket has a large character on the top and woven patterns on all sides, the tiered basket sits in a large bamboo frame with handle, Republic Period. Size: 37" high total (30 1/4" high to top of stand) x 18 1/2" wide x 18 1/2" deep.

An intricately hand carved wooden opium den lamp in the shape of a chair. The carving on the front bottom panel is a scene with 3 people. The central character seated at a table appears to be of the scholar class. The brackets on each side have a guardian figure. Used to illuminate Chinese opium dens, lamps like this were often their only source of lighting. The lamp’s burner bowl is stoneware is most likely a replacement...
