This very attractive "Kraak" porcelain dish was made at the Jingdezhen kilns during the Wanli reign (1573 - 1620) of the Ming Dynasty. The pattern, in underglaze blue of good colour, features in its centre a tasselled double-gourd vase and an artemesia leaf (one of the "eight treasures"). Surrounding this are ten roundels containing peaches and flower blossoms...

It has a raised design of a band of flowers around it's middle and a scalloped pattern around it's mouth. The elegant form has a tapered spout with a slight bend.

Sold A wonderful, larger Chinese pottery figure of a female attendant. The figure dates to Ming Dynasty 1368-1644 AD.
An lady dressed in a robe glazed in Green and Yellow Sancai colors. She is placed on plint and carries a vase in front of her chest. She carries a hat and her hair is nicely styled. Facial details were made with fragile pigment colors of which some remains. Height: 31-32 cm - c. 12,5 inches. A massive figure in hand, weighing 1,6-1,7 kg... Diameter approximately 24.8 cm. There is a glaze crack in the front, but not visible in the back. More pictures are available. In good condition.
