Provenance: Estate of Margaret Winling Gulotta (1928-2007), New Orleans, LA.

A Blanc de Chine Libation Cup. Of rhinoceros horn form on one side with a tiger seated below flowering prunus whilst looking up at a Dragon. The other with a deer below pine and a stork. Chinese 18thC. Height 7.2 cm. Length 13.7 cm. Condition: there is a shallow glaze flake 0.4 cm and 0.3 cm to the rim (See last image) and a small flake in the foot.

A charming Chinese porcelain vase with a painting of a young boy playfully dangling a spider in front of a cat while his mother appears to be feeding a bat (for good luck). Dating very early Republic period and in excellent condition with all enamels intact, this vase measures 9" high.

A blue and white Nanking butter tub trimmed with the classic Nanking border, but with an unusual rooster on the rock design and a peach final. The tub measures about 3 1/2" high x 5 1/2 wide x 4 1/4" deep and dates to the late 18th, early 19th Century. Condition: The condition is excellent. The Chinese porcelain dish has a border of two repeating elements, a garlanded ruyi and three interlinked rings. The centre of the dish depicts a Chinese landscape with two scholars approaching a solitary angler. The dish was made for the Japanese where such pieces were used and much appreciated in the tea ceremony, at a time when the Japanese porcelain industry was in its infancy.

Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Double Happiness Ginger Jar with fitted Rosewood carved top, Ca. late 1800's, 10 1/2" high with wooden top, 9" wide-widest part, 4 1/4" diameter-top rim, underglaze blue Double Happiness with Snow Pea flowers and vines, typical Straits culture design in China. The condition is good, very tight star shape glaze hairline on the bottom in the center about 2" to 3" wide, very old chip inside the top rim, this jar rings like bell.

Late 19th C Chinese famille rose porcelain pillow with a lovely hand painted design of woman in a garden setting with the opposing side featuring a bird perched in a beautiful flowering tree. The enameling on the bird and tree is particularly rich. On one end of the pillow there are 8 spur marks surrounding the pierced decoration. In good antique condition there is some general wear and rubbing, some chips at corners and kiln pops along the edges. Measures 5" x 5" x 2.5"
