Unusual Chinese temple corbel made of hand carved wood. With black, red, and gilt lacquer pigments, carved with the head of a dragon, a bird, and flora. Very interesting style of carving, similar to that of Mayan imagery.

Chinese clear quartz crystal container, hand-carved in the form of a blossoming lotus. The container has a tall bud finial lid carved with lotus pods. The crystal is carved smooth with natural inclusions.

A Chinese rock crystal carving of a mythical beast called a Qilin. Resembling a fu dog, the creature is a chimera mixed with a lion, a deer, a dragon, and sometimes other animals. The Qilin is said to appear with the arrival and the passing of a sage or high ruler.

This old Chinese Ethnic Minority inro is carved from animal horn and has 2 compartments. Each side is carved with a floral motif that is bordered with a key design. These symbols are especially meaningful to the Miao ethnic culture. The inro was worn suspended from the belt by a braided cord. It is a attractive ethnographic relic for the tribal arts collector. Antique Chinese grey and white jadeite carving of two fish swimming opposite each other, one of them spouting a stream of water out of its mouth. The fish are delicately carved over the darker grey area of jade, while the rest piece is a lighter grey/white jade. Size: 2.5" length, .75" thickness

An intricately hand carved Chinese zitan or similar dark hardwood lid for a jar. There is an insurance number written on the inside of the lid, see last photo. In excellent condition, it measures approximately 2 inches (5.1 cm) high, 3"(7.6 cm) across at base, opening about 1.75" (4.4 cm). Dates 1800s

Chinese hard stone brush washer carved into a gourd bottle shape, with two separate pockets for brush washing, the top carved with smaller gourds and spiraling vines, the bottom carved smooth. The stone is light green with orange areas.

Dimensions: 3 1/4" x 1 1/2" x 1/2" H

Chinese hardstone lidded vase carved with scrolling dragon head handles and freely moving rings. The lid has a pointed finial with natural black pebble coloration. The foot of the container is slightly flared and recessed. The natural pink and grey tones of the stone give the appearance of heavenly clouds, which are traditional motifs associated with dragons.
