Chinese Nephrite Jade Toggle, boy holding branch tightly, 2 3/4" high, 1 3/8 wide, 1" deep, light Celadon color, nice old patina. The condition is good, no damage.

A rare Eastern Han (206 BC- 219 AD) jar with incised decoration about the collar area. All the features one wants to see are found on this rare artifact, such as root impressions, worm tracks, and traces of calcified (petrified) roots. This jar is not the typical molded type made for burial, but was actually used in real life as utilitarian ware for everyday use. The jar is in excellent condition and measures 6.5" high x 7" diameter.

Of flat oval shape. Taotie masks with moveable rings on the sides. The lid now stuck to the vessel. H. 30 cm. W. 28,5 cm. Very good patina and traces of original repairs that were executed after the casting. This is often seen on Han bronzes. Provenance: Dutch private collection, Japanese private collection. The dating of this group is consistent with the results of TL-test no. 05231113 by Laboratory Ralf Kotalla. H. 29 cm. Nice burial condition with expected age wear. Beautifully carved solid piece of turquoise figure of a sitting boy. He is holding a branch bearing fruit resting upon his shoulder. Wonderful detail with interesting grain running throughout the stone. Dimensions: 2 3/4'' High X 2'' Wide X 1 3/8'' Deep

Two playful monkeys climbing on a large peach, carved from antique agate. Monkeys are commonly depicted in Chinese art as holding a peach as a symbol for wealth and a long life because the word for "monkey" is a homophone to the word for "nobleman". They often call this "feng hou bao shou" which can mean both "crazy monkey clutching [a peach]" as well as "may you become a salaried official and embrace longevity". 19th century Size: 1.5" long x 1.25" tall

DESCRIPTION: The art of Chinese seal making developed from very ancient times. First seen as molded clay stamps, bronze seals then appeared in an embryonic form in the Shang and Zhou dynasties (1600 BC – 256 BC). This pair of small bronze seals are an excellent representation of the early forms of Chinese seal making. The simple square seal pictured dates from the Han dynasty or earlier (206 BC – 220 AD), while the seal with a tortoise dates from the Tang or Song Dynasty (618-1279 AD)...

A beautifully preserved Han dynasty (221 B.C. to 206 A.D.) wine cup with mackerel silver highlights. This is caused by damp conditions within the tomb in combination with exposure to air, which in effect causes the silver to separate from the lead and surface toward the top. This wine cup has the original kiln supports still present. Authenticity guaranteed, it measures 13 cm long x 11 cm wide x 5 cm high (5" x 4.25" x 2"). No chips, no hairlines, etc.

An interesting Chinese jade carving of a bush washer in the form of a buddha hand citron. The citron is carved in a way where it is creating a circle in the middle. The top of the citron contains a carving of a bat. Age: 20th century Size: length 2.75" width 2.8" height 0.5"

Large russeted jade natural formed boulder with interesting variegated coloration on modern wooden base.

A unusual rare well carved jade pendant with a stylized head of a Zhou pig on top and tapering down into a fang or a claw.. The upper part of the jade is of a black and tan color and the tail is translucent. There is a hole at the back of the mouth for stringing. Size: L. 4.7cm. W. 1.2cm. Condition: See last photo.
