Lovely group of 3 Mingqi pottery figures, partly glazed in green and painted with black, red and yellow pigments. Detacheable heads and hands. Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The dating of this group is consistent with the results of TL-test no. 05231113 by Laboratory Ralf Kotalla. H. 29 cm. Nice burial condition with expected age wear. Please check my other listing with a similar group from the same excavation.

Two playful monkeys climbing on a large peach, carved from antique agate. Monkeys are commonly depicted in Chinese art as holding a peach as a symbol for wealth and a long life because the word for "monkey" is a homophone to the word for "nobleman". A beautifully preserved Han dynasty (221 B.C. to 206 A.D.) wine cup with mackerel silver highlights. This is caused by damp conditions within the tomb in combination with exposure to air, which in effect causes the silver to separate from the lead and surface toward the top. This wine cup has the original kiln supports still present. Authenticity guaranteed, it measures 13 cm long x 11 cm wide x 5 cm high (5" x 4.25" x 2"). No chips, no hairlines, etc.

A unusual rare well carved jade pendant with a stylized head of a Zhou pig on top and tapering down into a fang or a claw.. The upper part of the jade is of a black and tan color and the tail is translucent. There is a hole at the back of the mouth for stringing. Size: L. 4.7cm. W. 1.2cm. Condition: See last photo.
