Chinese Tang dynasty Changsha ware bowl. this type type little bit different because the foot rim is higher than the usual. 14,5 cm diameter. 6,3 cm high . there some smalls chipped at the rim, and glaze degradations. Free from any repair and crack.

SOLD Chinese antique tomb pottery figure of a portly court lady, Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD), 14.25"H with traces of original red and black pigments on sleeves and crevices of body. Minor repairs to hair and neck. Oxford TL Test results consistent with 9th century dating. Fat lady was depicting the famous concubine, Yang Gu Fei, her asymetric coiffure is Duo Maji, 'just off horse look' with disheveled hairdo...

This pottery figure was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). It is "heavily-potted" and made from a pale pinkish-coloured pottery that is relatively highly-fired. The body is coated in an attractive golden yellow / amber glaze that is very finely-crackled. In places the surface has acquired a silvery iridescence, a result of long burial in damp conditions... Unlike Snacai glazes are lead glaze, the glaze of this censer is more milky like Jun glaze, that's why I am thinking this censer is from Changsha kiln but can't 100% sure. Glaze run through the area that seems like damaged on mouth rim and two cracks under it, so those are manufacture failure. Ht. 8.5cm. Condition: no chip, no restore, in good condition as shown. It is made from a reddish pottery and has been "cold painted" in various coloured pigments, a base coat of white with yellow and reddish-brown pigments on top.
