A rare carved jade of an old man with a beard. Half of the jade on top is translucent and the bottom bottom half opaque. It is from the Hunan culture which was absorbed by the Han as their control spread over the whole of China. Size: H. 3.8cm. W. 1.3cm. See last three photos.

A very interesting triangular shaped stone pendant from early Hongshan Culture. Condition: No repairs.

Green and ochre glaze on a yellowish white ground. Diameter 10 cm. H. 4 cm. condition: expected age wear and cracks to the glaze, otherwise in very good condition. No cracks, no repairs. Tang Dynasty (618-906)

A Han dynasty bronze hu vase. Raised on high, cupped foot. The body cast with three grooves bands around the circumference and below the girth. Another three grooved bands (one smaller) above the girth. Two mask handles with loose rings (original to the vase) on opposing sides of the shoulder. One larger grooved band under the rim. Condition sound with the vessel of solid casting, no active rust and good patina...

Chinese belt hook from the Han Dynasty (206 B.C. - A.D.220), made of bronze and gilded, inlaid with turquoise, beautiful green mineral deposits. Elegant elongated form with a chimera head on one end and the head of a dragon or serpent on the other. Comes with a custom stand. Size of belt hook: 7 1/2" long

Chinese archaic pottery figure of a calling camel on a solid base, made from red clay. The statue has a great, incredibly detailed form. The inside body of the camel is hollow and within it you can see finger imprints from the original artist. In wonderful, original condition. Tang Dynasty dates from AD 618-907. Size: 22" H

A bronze figure of Buddha standing on a platform that flares outward at the bottom. Traces of gilding. Holding His robe on his left arm. The facial features are simple - almost primitiveness in nature but charmingly expressive. Period: 3rd Century Tibet Size: Height = 10.2 cm Condition: Protruding features have some wear. Has a nice patina which, under magnification, reveals that it had originally been lacquered and gilded.

A calcified jade belt hook with a dragon head and long body with comma style carvings. The round attachment under the piece has some of the actual jade exposed. See last two photos. Size: 16cm X 1.5cm. Age: Hard to date this piece.Han or earlier.

Chinese Neolithic Qijia Culture Cord-Impressed Pottery Jar

This jar was made some 4,000 years ago by peoples of the Neolithic Qijia Culture (c. 2050 - 1700 BC), from what is now eastern Gansu province. They produced a variety of pottery vessels including cord-impressed pottery of many shapes and sizes. This particular example is made from a coarse gritty clay and has a wide flaring mouth...

A beautiful quadratic prism shaped translucent brown jade with two ring carved on each end. The jade is strung with three old Chinese beads. Age; Song or earlier Size: 3.4 x 2.1cm. Condition: No chips.
