A pair of Chinese semi precious stone crafted into a small magnolia tree. The tree is planted in a Chinese cloisonne pot. The container's body has a lovely blue background with abstracted lotus design, old gilt on edges. The entire tree is crafted as if an actual plant is planted in the pots.The cloisonne appears to be late 19th century. The semiprecious stones are of a later vintage. A beautifully polished ritual hand axe in a mottled green nephrite with lighter inclusions dating to the late Neolithic period, circa 3500-2500BCE. Looking at the piece you can almost gain the impression of looking down at the sea from a great height, with scattered bits of land. A truly beautiful stone. The tube of the pipe is simply cut from a natural bamboo stem to which the artist has chosen to leave some secondary stem ends. An archaic style Chinese jade object in the style of Han burial Jade objects. Top contains a motif of mythical beasts and the center section is incised with scrolling vines with a circular hole carved out in the center.The clear line seen below the beasts is a plastic wire to attach the jade piece on the black felt panel. This is an awesome, excellently carved Urn made from Celadon Nephrite Jade with Mutton Fat and Russet inclusions.

It is carved with a Xiezhi (Justice Beast) motive. Two of these mythical creatures are shown sprawling in a recumbent manner on the front and back of the vase, with two stylized creatures crawling up on the sides. It has Xiezhi head handles with rings placed in the manner of the four directional coordinates...

A complete calcified "chicken bone" jade necklace from the Longshan Period. Jade that has been buried for millenniums sometime calcifies to a white color losing all of it's original color. Age: 2800-1900 BC. Size. Length(closed) 29.5cm. Condition: Age calcification.

You are considering an authentic set of three arc-shaped pendants from the Neolithic or Shang period, circa 2000-1500 BCE. Similar published examples can be found in Rawson, Chinese Jade from the Neolithic to the Ching at pages 158-159 (the latter illustration showing a similar item from the collection of the British Museum). As with the other examples, these three pieces join together to form a ring...

A Chinese archaic pale green jade sword chape carved on one side with four linear designs, the reverse with a coiled dragon, 5cms wide, Western Han dynasty (202BC - 9AD). A similar chape was sold at Bonhams London, 18/5/23, lot 28, Keverne collection. Another sold at Christie's New York, 17/3/16, lot 920.

This is a genuine, archaic Chinese nephrite axe or Gui scepter. The surface has the expected smooth, "waxy" feel to it. The end is sharpened (which leads me to think it was made as a prestige axe as opposed to a scepter, although the literature seems to view pieces such as this one as either/both an axe and a Gui scepter; e.g. Rawson in Chinese Jade - I've included photos of the pieces listed there for reference)...

This is fine example of a white nephrite jade Thumb Archer's Ring, with a Taotie theme: symbols and figures carved in high relief all around the surface of the ring. It was apparently used to some extent because it shows a few very small impact scars on its edges, as well a hairline crack on its outside surface, but it is in solid condition, with well defined carved symbols . Other similar examples date to the Chinese Qing period.

This jade carving depicts two dragons, seated back to back and is, as best I can tell, the real deal. Not only are there no signs whatsoever of modern tooling, but each of the holes at the snout has been drilled from both sides, using a conical bit. The jade itself does not lie 100% flat, which would be another "telltale" of modern production. Instead, it is slightly curved...

This is an example of the "disc-shaped" (squarish) bi discs illustrated by Jessica Rawson in her definitive work on Chinese jades, at page 113. (Chinese Jade From the Neolithic to The Qing, British Museum Press, 1995).As noted (ibid), most are slightly squared.
