Massive Korean rectangular form scholar’s inkstone with removable cover carved in high relief with a stylized dragon. The base has a central sloped rectangular inkwell bordered with two opposing dragons chasing a flaming pearl. The flat bottom is carved with low arches at the center of the four sides to form wide feet at the corners. 11 3/4" long x 8 1/4" wide x 3 7/8" high. Probably dates from the mid-20th century. Antique Korean single section bedside chest, with book matched front panels of hardwood burl. Four drawers line the top of the chest with brass handles in motifs of butterflies. The front of the chest features a pair of doors with a large brass central plate and brass butterfly hinges.

Korean Silla Kingdom (circa 6th century) unglazed reddish-gray stoneware funerary food vessel with domed cover on a high stem foot broadly flaring at the base and decorated with rectangular perforations. The lid is covered with incised designs and has a central finial. There are no cracks, chips, or repairs. The piece is in very good overall condition with minor imperfections consistent with its age. I cannot be certain if the lid was originally made for this specific bowl...

The irregular shape and the base resemble Japanese Wabi Sabi tea bowls which tells that this piece was made specifically for Japanese market.

A small Korean lidded burial jar from the Silla Dynasty, United Period, 8/9th Century. The jar has an overall stamped design, and shows kiln glossing over its otherwise unglazed exterior. The jar with lid measures about 4 1/2" high x 4 1/2" in diameter. The jar and lid are in very good condition, but there are a few very small chips on the lids' rims.
