Decorated with only a single platinum thumbprint this Unmistakable Crimson bowl by Masatomo turns inward as it closes upon the mouth. It is 15 cm (6 inches) diameter, 8 cm (just more than 3 inches) tall and in perfect condition, enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Red Chawan and comes directly from the artist.
Masatomo Toi was born in Aichi Prefecture in 1992, and graduated the Design course at the Tajimi Ceramics Research Facility in 2019...

A prototypical Momoyama style Iga vase by Atarashi Kanji enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Iga Mimitsuki Hanaire. It is 24 cm tall (just under 10 inches) and in excellent condition.
Atarashi Kanji was born in Osaka in 1944, and graduated the Osaka College of Craft design. After 3 years in Kobe, and 4 in Kishiwada (Wakayama) he came to settle in Iga, where he was one of the driving forces behind the resurrection and preservation of the Iga tradition...

Striking red chrysanthemum woth gold centers grow wild on the black lacquered surface of this Misusashi by Komazawa Rissai enclosed in the original 19th century signed wooden box. This is magemono, a technique of heating and bending thin layers of wood to create a cylindrical vessel held together by stitching or staples. The inside of this lid betrays its cedar origin, the rest is expertly lacquered black and covered in vermilion designs...

This is a silk kimono used in Kyoto. This is a kimono with the word Katazome written on it by hand. There are many pictures of goldfish. And they are all painted in Eba-gara. During the Taisho period, extremely precise paintings were also painted on kimonos. It is in very good condition with no stains or damage.Size: Length 130cm /sleeve end to sleeve end 122cm.

A vintage Japanese Tansu chest in the Choba (merchant) style made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. Iron hardware with Warabite handles. Seven drawers of varying sizes and a pair of sliding doors behind which is a spacious storage area. With two side carrying handles.

This is a wonderful vintage Japanese Raku style tea cup of Ohi ware with an amazing amber glaze which was made about 50-60 years ago by Rakusai Ohi. The seal of 'Ohi' is stamped on the bottom. The original wooden box with the signature and the seal of the artist is also included.

Ohi ware has become well known for its use of Ame-gusuri, or amber glaze. Being a Raku style, it was low-fired and is quite light and soft in the hands...

This exceptional tanto is very original, unique in its kind, it represents a bundle of lotus flowers wrapped in a canvas. The mount is in silver, embossed for the leaves of the sheath and cast for the flower buds at both ends. The seppa are in shakudo and gold. Some elements in gilded bronze. The design of the sheath is unique, it is a perfect imitation of a fabric canvas. It is made of woven bamboo fibers covered with lacquer...

A large Silent Shadows Series Sculpture by Sugitani Keizo in his signature oxidized copper green glaze. An exquisite vessel of pure white carved with ripples by Living National Treasure (Ningen Kokuho) Maeta Akihiro enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Seihakuji Chomon Henko. It is 27 cm (10-1/2 inches) tall and in excellent condition.
Maeta Akihiro was born in Tottori city in 1954, graduating the Osaka University of Art in 1977...

Lifetime edition Japanese shin hanga chuban sized woodblock print titled in kanji and English "Benkei Bridge" by Toshi Yoshida (1911-1995) dated Showa 16 (1941). Pencil-signed at the lower right margin and with the artist's black ink signature and red seal at the lower left corner of the image. Paper: 10 5/8" x 7 3/4" (image: 9 1/2” x 6 3/4”). Very good overall condition with full margins.
