Covered pot in Chinese Imari porcelain decorated with peonies and chrysanthemums in a pot. The domed lid is surmounted by a seated figure in gilt bronze.
The lips and the circumference of the lid are underlined by a floral motif in blue underglaze arranged in a frieze, enhanced by gilding and punctuated by small cartouches. The golden handles remind a plant motif.

The incomparable Seto-yaki tea bowl was made at the end of 19th century and is in great antique condition with no cracks or repairs. The historical Bodhidharma (known as Daruma in Japan) was an Indian sage who lived sometime in the fifth or sixth century AD. He is commonly considered the founder of Chan (Zen) Buddhism 禅, and credited with Chan's introduction to China. (Important Note: Zen is the... Very rare and old mask, finely carved to represent Hanuman, half monkey half god, the deified hero of the famous Ramayana epic, with a vivid expression. Wood, with remnants of polychromy.
