Chinese Song to possibly Yuan dynasty brown glazed stoneware jar with horizontal ribbed body moulded in high relief with a dragon chasing the pearl of wisdom. This rare and unusual pottery tile was made during the Ming Dynasty (AD 1368 - 1644). It is made from a grey pottery and is particularly "heavily-potted". Lovely ceramic amber and green sancai glaze fish offering from the Ming Dynasty. These were put on small pottery altar tables and interred with ancestor to provide for them in the afterlife.
