Description: A black-glazed water dropper was from famous Ding kiln.
Characteristically the body clay revealed was in dense and greasy feel quality.
It was kept in perfect condition when some incursion was found on the surface.

A rare ancient gold ring with a natural brown stone. This ring is over 1,000 years old. Weight: 3.50 grams

Little distorted half cylinder shaped (hanzutzu) tea bowl made of light, coarse unrefinde Mino clay, with very nice, little and small ishihaze (exploding stones).

The mouth has been trimmed in a fashion frequently seen in black Oribe but rarely in Ki Seto (yellow Seto) bowls. The expertly thrown body is covered with the typical ash glaze inside and outside which has turned into yellow due to a slight iron oxide content in the clay.

Chinese Jadeite Jade hard stone carved Lotus flower shape Pendant, 1 3/8" high, 1 7/8" wide, 3/8" thick, with carved incised lines of flower pedals, some natural infusions in the stone, the condition is good.

Antique Japanese woven bamboo basket for ikebana, or flower arrangements. The body has a gourd form, inside it holds a large bamboo vase lined in metal. Size: 16.5" height, 9" width

Finely potted porcelain bowl, painted in pale famille rose enamels with fruiting and flowering gourd vines. The outside decorated with four "dragon and phoenix" medallions on a yellow ground. Base with iron red six character "Guangxu" mark. Condition: foot rim with an over glazed tiny chip (see photo no. 3), some wear to gilding. Dimension: Diameter: 13.8 cm, 5.9 cm high.

This was made for Edo period. And it is Katazome where a natural indigo plant, black, gray, rouge were used for. This is the Shipo- filler of the Amaryu- dragon and a deep red pattern of the lozenges. As for this, cotton is spun by hand and is slightly thick. It is the Katazome cotton cloth which this was made for Edo period and was dyed on the basis of a natural indigo plant. As for this, cotton is spun by hand and is slightly thick. A charming Japanese kiri (paulownia) wood bedside tansu. The metal hardware pairs nicely with the very light wood, creating attractive simplicity. Taisho age (1912-1925) Size: 19" height, 23.75" width, 11.75" depth

Finely carved ivory Chinese napkin ring with 3 landscape carvings and an animal in each scene. Each is deeply carved, giving depth to the foliage. The 4th cartouche is left blank for monogramming. In excellent condition, it measures 1 1/8" high by 2" diameter. Circa 1900.

Exceptionally elegant red vermillion lacquered zen buddhist temple sutra table in its original signed and dated box. Dated Keio gannen 8 (c.1865) the tapered legs and metal fittings on the table top indicate this was made for a rich temple. 37cm tall and 53cm wide the very top is in its own cotton wrapping.
