Intricately carved mask for the Nuo esoteric theater, representing the legendary character of Bao Gong, or Judge Bao, wearing a formal hat, his face in relief with a fierce expression, with bulging eyes, open mouth revealing fangs, and a stylised beard. Wood, with traces of the original polychrome colouring. China, 18th century. Height: 29.6 cm. Very good condition despite signs of old insect infestation (no danger).

This ancient conch shell bead from the Pyu period and dates back to around the first century. It represents the emblem of the voice of Buddha preaching the laws of his doctrine, and occurs as one of the auspicious signs on the "Footprint of Buddha". Size: L. 2.2cm. Condition: No repairs. A very rare Solid gold rare ear pick very finely made with an ornate chain made during the Pyu Dynasty that is now Burma. This is a very unusual gold item from that era.

A seal from what is now Burma/India with carvings of an elephant and a flower. The handle is smooth and well-worn. The ivory has taken on a rich brown color with age.

A rare tazza or flatware stem dish is from the ancient Ban Chiang culture of Thailand. It is well over two thousand years old and guaranteed authentic. The tarra is covered in a dense network of calcified roots, and is without any repairs. Almost all artifacts from this region have been restored to some degree, but due to the petrified and calcified roots, it leaves little doubt that this one is original and intact. A very rare crystal tiger from Burma/Thailand. Crystal was thought to have magical powers and the tiger represents strength. It is unknown how they drilled the holes to make it wearable.As you can see they were drilled at both ends, probably before the crystal was carved. Age: over two thousand years old. Size: L. 3cm.
