Early postwar Japanese oil painting on canvas, 'Town of Wakamatsu', May, 1952, by Ueno Haruka (1896-1978), 53 x 45.5 x 2 cm (20.86 x 17.91 x 0.78in), probably as a rare scene of vibrant retro local market street of Wakamatsu in Kita-Kyushu region well-known for the biggest domestic coal shipping port at that time.
