A charming, characteristic neko tora tiger in the moon night. Painted with ink and light pigments on paper. Signed Ganku and sealed. It is attributed to Gan ku.

Some insignificant light marks and light foxing are present on the painting itself, otherwise the painting is in very good condition. The scroll mounting is in very good condition with the age. It is accompanied by a paulownia wood storage box.

Nice old Tibetan or Baotou saddle carpet, with floral medallions and scroll pattern. There are some repairs and restorations which I have highlighted in enlargement two. Early 20th century, the colors are still vibrant with some abrash but none of the garish aniline dyes used later in the 50s and 60s. L: 120cm/47.2in ad W: 60cm/23.6in.

A lovely Chinese translucent natural gray agate calligraphy brush with a bone ferrule and end cap. Brush is natural hair. The beads are slightly smaller than most, each measuring only .75" diameter (across) x 1" long. It is just beautiful. Brush measures 11.75 inches long.
