A Very Rare Korean Silver Bar Hairpin/Enameled Bamboo, Bird, plum -19th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, 19th century. The long terminal cast with bamboo leaves, flying cranes and plum flower head with a roundel coral inserted into the plum flower-head on the either side of the bamboo head-end, and enameled in blue, red, green, and yellows, the cylindrical silver bar ends with a point tip. A large white bronze Koro by Tsuda Eiju exhibited at the 14th Nitten in 1982. It is published in the catalog for that year, and comes with the Nitten card upon which it is pictured. The creature is 45 cm (18 inches) tall, 30 cm (12 inches) wide and in excellent condition. Tsuda Eiju (1915-2001) studied under Tsuda Shinobu (1875-1946) eventually becoming his heir. He was accepted into and awarded at the Nitten National Exhibition many times including the Hokutosho prize.

A large kitchen storage jar that was made in North Korea. The Jar is an example of Korean folk art, and it has hand painted blue and green designs on a white base.
