All original hand forged iron hardware featuring Warabite style handles and hints of aged red lacquer. Very spacious storage with a hinged door that secures 3 small drawers. Constructed using Japanese joinery techniques and hardened wooden nails.
Age: Meiji Period (1880-1890) Dimensions: 48 1/2" Wide by 48" High by 18 1/4" Deep

SOLD An antique Japanese Tohoku Mizuya Tansu (kitchen chest) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Hinoki (Cypress). All original hand forged iron hardware with Urushi lacquer finish. Three sets of sliding doors with removable shelves behind the larger doors. Three side by side drawers provide additional storage. Sections can be separated for use in different rooms of the house.

$1,465 DESCRIPTION: A colorful pair of Chinese cloisonne deer, both standing foursquare with heads turned, their bodies decorated with a profusion of designs including dragons and taotie masks, all on a turquoise blue ground. These are a nice larger size, perfect for a table centerpiece. Republic Period (1911 - 1949); very good condition. DIMENSIONS: Each 15.5" long (39.3 cm) x 15" high (38 cm).
