Vitex parviflora is a species of plant in the Verbenaceae family, known as smallflower chastetree, or Molave tree. It is found in Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. The Molave has a natural golden tone that is indicative of the tree.

Chinese porcelain lidded seal paste box with yellow glaze. Squat round body with with domed lid. The inside and bottom is glazed white. Blue glazed mark on the bottom.

Japanese set of 12 flathead piercing tip arrows. Polished, forged steel tips. Mounted on a circular presentation base. Ya used in war by the samurai had a variety of tips called yajiri or yanone; these arrowheads were forged using the same steel (tamahagane) and methods as traditional Japanese swords. There are many different kinds of arrowhead and they all have their own special name. Togari-ya is a simple pointed design.

Chinese altar table constructed of hardwood and bamboo with original red lacquer finish. The woven bamboo creates openwork motifs of geometric design from all sides. Dates from late 19th c to early 20th c.

A small Chinese eggshell thin ceramic bowl with celadon green underglaze. The center of the bowl is incised with floral motifs and scrolls, and the outer edges are scored with ridged lines. The body tapers to a small, slightly recessed foot with the edges exposed without glaze. Longquan celadon 15th century.

Chinese snuff bottle carved from turquoise mottled with natural dark brown veining. The front is carved in relief with a cat staring intently upwards at a nearby flying insect, surrounded by flora. The reverse is carved in relief with a bird perched on a flowering tree branch. The turquoise lidded stopper carved with lingzhi mushroom motif.

Chinese pair of monochrome porcelain vases with a speckled raspberry glaze. They are of an elegant, elongated tapering form, the bases of each vase marked with Hongxian red seal. In the year 1916, Yuan Shikai attempted to reinstate monarchy by naming himself the Emperor of China after the Qing Dynasty was overthrown in 1911. Due to extreme backlash, his reign lasted for less than 100 days, ending on March 1916.

Antique Chinese pair of fu-dog (or fu-lions) hand made of Shiwan stonewear ceramic. Shiwan ware (Chinese: 石灣窯; pinyin: Shíwān yáo; Cantonese Jyutping: is Chinese pottery from kilns located in the Shiwanzhen Subdistrict of the provincial city of Foshan, near Guangzhou, Guangdong. A rare authentic detailed Han granary with three bear like legs in a rich deep green glaze. Size: H. 30 cm. Roof diameter 23 cm. Condition: No repairs. Some small kiln chips.

Antique Chinese framed hand-woven Kesi panel, made from silk with gold thread, depicting a scene of court women, attending to the central figure by offering her tea, a lotus, and other accoutrements. The surrounding area has large scholar rocks and plants with ruyi motifs, a platform with a picture of waves hung against the wall. The front and backside may be viewed through the framing, which has edges carved like bamboo with gold finish.

Antique Kraak ware charger from the 17th Century. Classic blue and white porcelain with a center image of 4 birds amidst flowers. The traditional 8 panels are divided by 8 identical images of nature and intersected with images of jars, banana leaves and cherry blossoms. Antique Japanese single section isho tansu with locking bar. The upper portion has a full width drawer with a large iron money bag shaped lock plate. Below this are two drawers held in place with a locking bar (with key). The bottom portion has two smaller drawers and a safe box in the lower right hand corner with two small interior drawers. Beautiful and extensive iron work also includes raised corner handware on the drawers and square shaped drawer pulls. Original deep red lacquer finish....
