Chinese Qing dynasty Qianlong period geyao type shallow bowl covered overall with a fine crackle glaze on a creamy white ground. The high foot rim is glazed on the exterior. The recessed base is glazed and the glaze extends part way up the inner side of the inward slanting foot where it ends with an orange burn line. Japanese Edo period woodblock print by Utagawa Toyokuni I (1769-1825) depicting the Kabuki actor Ichikawa Danjuro possibly portraying Yoshitsune wearing a kimono with a pattern of Karasu (crow) Tengu.
