An antique statue of the lucky goddess He Xiangu holding a lotus, carved from a large bamboo piece with nice patina. One of the eight immortals of the Chinese Taoist pantheon. $800 A Very Fine and Beautiful White Glazed/High Footed Bowl-19th C.:
Korea, Joseon dynasty, 19th century.
The bowl, set on a slightly flared high ring footed and with slightly everted mouth rim,
decorated in a white blue-tinged, warm and clear glaze applied overall evenly, with sand traces on the foot rim.
It’s in very fine condition but a small chip on the foot rim (see photo), measures 6.6cm h. x 8.3cm d.

SOLD An antique Japanese Byosho Bako (peddler's chest) made of Hinoki (Cypress) wood. All original hand forged iron hardware. Two loop rings where a carrying rope was once attached allowing the merchant to carry this chest on his back. The hinged door opens to 5 drawers used for the storage of wares for sale. A few small ink stains on the upper surface attests to the merchant using the top as a writing surface when writing sales.
