Large Sukhothai plate, 14th-16th century, with fish in under-glaze iron black and banded mottled decoration around rim and underside. Exposed spur marks and glaze has been compromised, especially on one side and some chipping to rim. Diameter: 11.50 inches; height: 2.50 inches.

Size: 2.3 cm. Weight: 10 gr. This Garuda has folded hands in adoration form and the wings are short and not spread out as it is not in flight. The tail feathers are very long. Lovely 14th-15th Century Sawankhalok bottle with two ear handles at shoulder with refined incised horizontal line markings. Glaze has a nice olive green color with some omission during glazing. Rare complete lacquer tobacco box with trays from the Karen hilltribe ethnic group Northern Thailand. Next to nothing has written about this craft amongst the Karen people although they are known for their water tight baskets using lacquer to seal the weave. H: 9.5cm/3.8in and D: 8.6cm/3.3in.
