A rare ca. 12th Century S-E Asian Bronze Bell from the Estate of Johan and Randi Daehlfeldt, Denmark. This bell is still sonorous and has a nice relief design on top. Beautiful naturally aged patina and comes with an attractive custom made stand. Some inconsequential wear due to considerable age. Size: H. 7 cm. including top loop x 4.5 cm. without the stand.

Vairochana's mudra is the dharmachakra mudra. It is the gesture of teaching which is divided of turning the wheel of the law. (There are many variation of this mudras) One form, Tibetan use is to hold both hands at the level of the heart. The right palm face faces outward and the left palm faces inward. One circle is forming by the thumb and index finger of the right hand and the second circle is formed by the thumb and the index finger of the left hand...

Very fine bronze Shan State Buddha with an exquisite black-gold patina seated on a stepped throne decorated with knobs. The sculpture displays an elegant smartness and is well proportioned. The Buddha is seated in the Vajrasana position with the right hand in the gesture of touching the earth (bhumisparsa mudra) and the left hand rests in the gesture of meditation (dhyana mudra). A genuine Shan State Bronze Buddha, 17/18th Century, subduing Mara and sitting on a fine stepped throne. Front base has engraved Shan script. The Buddha is filled and heavy, not hollow. It also has an old original dark patina with traces of gilt and very few remnants of cinnabar paint. Size: Height 20.5 cm x 13 cm (8.25" x 5.25" inches). Good condition overall.
