Thai Rattanakosin period gilded and lacquered bronze Sakyamuni Buddha figure seated cross-legged in meditation on a plinth with hands in dhyana mudra. The figure is modeled with the characteristic serene face and downcast almond eyes, elongated ears, curled headdress, and flaming usnisa. He wears an elaborately patterned robe draped with one shoulder bare. 19th century. 17 3/8" high; base: 12" wide x 7 1/2" deep; 8 1/2" from edge of knee to edge of knee. Weighs 16 lbs...

Fine pair of rare bronze Mandalay Monks/Disciples, Burma, 19th Century. Good condition, one statue has a small nick on the bottom of back base (see enlargement photograph # 4 ). Size: H. 6" (15 cm.) x W. 3" (7.5 cm.)

A small statue of a dancer in traditional costume, finely cast and cold-worked in bronze and fixed on the original wooden stand. Such small bronze figurines were souvenirs and gifts from British Burma of the 1920s/30s. Condition: fine, only wood stand with some chips and traces of usage. Dimension: total height: c. 16 cm, base: 12.3 cm x 8.8 cm, figure: 12.5 cm high x 9.5 cm wide, weight: 1200 g.

Large Thai bronze Buddha head with serene face and downcast almond eyes, curled headdress, flaming usnisa, and elongated ears. The casting is thin, the patina is very nice, and there is typical corrosion and wear evident. Traces of gilt are visible in the usnisa and hair (see close up images). Produced in the 18th/19th century in the Sukhothai period style. 15" high. Weighs about 9 lbs. There is no stand. This bronze is from the Albert Ninde estate in Tucson...

A very fine and serene Thai Bronze Buddha in subduing Mara position. Good condition overall with recent Gold Leaf adorning the Buddha's head. The shape of the Buddha's base is quite rare. Size: height 9.75" x 6.5" (25 cm. x 17cm.). Shipping is extra.
