Oil Painting by Park Deuk Soon (1910 - 1990), signed and dated 1949, with original frame. Park Deuk Soon studied in Tokyo with Ryohei Koizo and graduated from the Pacific Fine Arts School in 1938. He exhibited often at the National Art Exhibition and the Chosun Art Exhibition. He was also an educator and an active member of the Kukjeon, and served for a time as President of the Korean Painters Association. Frame: 23.5 x 19 inches, 59 x 48 cm; Painting: 17 x 12.25 inches, 43 x 31 cm.

Korean porcelain celadon vase with black lacquer and MOP overlay. The condition of the porcelain is perfect, but the lacquer is not, some small pieces of mother of pearl are missing and some touch up paint around a section of the shoulder is evident. Still a very desirable vase that will display well. Measurements are 7 inches tall by 3 1/4 inches at the widest.

Vintage korean black lacquer tobacco box with inlaid mother of pearl. The lid of the box has a beautiful design of birds on a peony branch. The interior has a lid for to cover the tobacco or incense compartment with an inlaid design of an incense burner. There is a compartment for a lighter and a bronze ash tray. It measures 2.5" tall 12" wide 7.5" deep.

A Fine Korean Orchid Scroll Painting by 靜齋, 吳一英 (1890-1960): Painted with orchids on rock in ink on paper, inscription on the upper left side, signed with his pen name and artist name, and two seal, 靜齋, 吳一英 on the lower right side It’s in fine condition, it measures 31.7cm x 101.5cm (12.25” x 40”).

Massive Korean rectangular form scholar’s inkstone with removable cover carved in high relief with a stylized dragon. The base has a central sloped rectangular inkwell bordered with two opposing dragons chasing a flaming pearl. The flat bottom is carved with low arches at the center of the four sides to form wide feet at the corners. 11 3/4" long x 8 1/4" wide x 3 7/8" high. Probably dates from the mid-20th century. From an old Tucson, Arizona collection.

이당(以堂)Yi Dang, 김은호( 金殷鎬)-Kim Eun-Ho (Korean, 1892~1979) Hanging Scroll Painting Korea, Yi Dang-pen name written, and Kim Eun Ho sealed. 10 Sparrows are on the trees in heavy snow, early executed by the artist, painted in water color on silk, It’s in good condition but has some slight creases, scrolled. Image size: 46.75” x 16.85” (118.5cm x 42.8cm) painting only, scroll incl. 65” by 21 ½”.

Pair of Korean black lacquer over brass vases with mother-of-pearl inlay. The brass is re-purposed from unused artillery shells and the vases are heavier than one would expect. One of the rim looks a little irregular, but the were purchased in Japan, as is, in the first half of the 20th Century. They measure about 7 inches high.
