A mother-of-pearl and bone inlaid wood crucifix, fixed on a pyramidal base and with affixed cylinders. Decorated with symbols of the Franciscan order, geometric and floral patterns. The origin (and age)of these crosses is still not evident, they are attributed to the Near East, specifically the Jerusalem area or the Indian Subcontinent, Gujarat. Condition: few missing inlays, few cracks, reverse with oldly filled cracks, top of base with apparently missing inlays...

Six pages (3 double sides) of a Tibetan/Mongolian music manuscript with YANG-YIG GRAPHIC MUSIC NOTATION. Inks on paper. Good condition, finger marks to corners, stain across centre fold, each page 19 x 6 cm cm. Undated estimated to be late 19th century or earlier. In thick double fronted mount. Can be viewed in London. Such texts would have been used as a mnemonic device by the master of chant. The type of graphic notation of the melody line goes back to the 6th century...

Indian statue of a jain buddha seated in meditation with hands and feet crossed carved out of white marble. The base has a weathered donatory inscription with a horned bull or possibly a rhino in the middle. If a rhinocerous, the statue would be of Mahavira in the 11th reincarnation. Traces of red pigment. The nose was broken during the muslim invasions of India sometime between the 13th and 16th centuries. From the Mt. Abu region, 15th-16th century. It measures 13"deep, 26" wide 30" tall.

Stone sculpture of the female deity Durga slaying a spirit emerging from the water buffalo Manisha. Carved in high relief, with temnants of tuna pigment, from the Rajasthan area. 17th-18th century.

Antique Tibetan painting of a boddhisatva framed. The front and back are visible through glass panes. A crowned central figure, boddhisatva, sits atop a lotus bloom holding a white peony flower in his left hand. He is surrounded by 7 figures. 18th century. Mineral pigments on cotton. Size and Condition: 11 3/4 feet x 8 3/4 feet. Great pile throughout, strong coloration with only slight oxidation. Remains of original fringe still present, but trimmed...

Finely sculptured Ganesha bronze from West India, 17th Century, surrounded by a stylized aura ring, topped by a divine protective head and a beautiful engraved lotus flower base.
