Beautiful Chinese antique celadon glazed bowl. The body of the bowl is shaped into six wide lobes and glazed an olive-green with a very fine crackle. The interior is decorated with a delicate raised scrolling lotus stem. A lotus blossom or leaf adorns each interior lobe of the bowl. An incised line circles the outside rim. Song Dynasty. The undulations and knobs of the slightly curving burl slab have been beautifully incorporated into the carving, forming the scholar’s garment and top of his curled hat. The bearded scholar looks slightly upward with a pleasing expression and holds a scroll in his hands. At his side is his young attendant gazing upward with a charming smile...

Antique Chinese pair of beautiful hardwood cabinets (jumu wood) with open display shelves that have carved side panels with dragons and flora. Its two swinging doors with dramatic woodgrain open with brass fittings and have a roomy, shelved interior within. The finish of the wood is deep red with brown-orange highlights. 19th century.
