Chinese Silk Embroidered Panel with Mother of Pearl Inlay Wood Carved Screen, 19th Century

It is 27 inches (68.5 cm) tall by 20.5 inches (52 cm) wide with stand. The panel is 20.5 inches (52 cm) tall by 17.5 inches (44.5 cm) wide. The embroidery is 17 inches (43.2 cm) tall by 13.8 inches (35.2 cm) wide. It is 13.7 Lb.

It has cracks, missing the back panels at the stand, and missing some mother of pearl and small chips at the wood (as seen in the photos)...

Finely engraved, with excellent dark patina. Two engraved names at the back. China, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). H. 34 cm. Condition: casting flaws (typical for Ming bronzes), ome curl missing at the foot of the figure.

Antique Chinese wooden screen in 6 panels, carved with scenes of beautiful ladies playing different musical instruments, below each scene is a scholarly display of flowers in vases, above each scene is carved with different flowers, each end panel is carved with characters and scholar items, all edged in pierced scrolling vine motif, beautiful details through out, Republic Period. Antique Chinese coromandel screen in 4 panels, scene of noble men, women and children in pavilion setting, inlay of carved lacquer, bone, mother of pearl, jade, agate and other stones on a brown lacquer ground, below are designs of flowers and butterflies, the reverse is painted lacquer design of birds and flowers, 19th century. Size: 72" high x 73" long (each panel is 18 1/4" wide)

Large Chinese pedestal desk, 4 sections, 4 drawers across the top, each pedestal has 2 additional drawers on either side, separate foot rest with cracked ice design, made of dark hardwood with light hardwood burl in three panels on top of desk, light hardwood burl also used on drawer fronts and on the top panels on the sides and around the back of the desk, Republic Period. Size: 33 3/4" high x 69" wide x 27 1/2" deep.

Description:

A boxwood root was intriguingly carved and hollowed into a charming brush pot.
Being penetrated as wall of holes for light going through, the scholar item was most favoured by literati for the natural mood.
It was reserved in very good condition by enduring old patina.
The under cover was an old restoration.

An excellent bamboo imitated brush holder in excellent best quality. The center has a small ribbon knot illustrating a rope holding the bamboo together. The brush holder is in best quality and very hard to find. condition: Very good condition. Small rim and foot-ring frittering. Further no damage or restorations. Measurement: hight 10.3 cm = 4.1 in

A sitting bronze figure was nicely cast.
Being depicted as a scholar with flouring robe and a official hat, the figure was in casual mood by resting his arm to the stool beside him.
It was perfectly preserved with nice darken patina.

Description:

A water dropper was in intriguing twin toad's shape.
In characteristic mustard tint, the vessel was merged by two halves made from clay molds.
Finger prints were left on the clay body by the potter when in the squeezing and applying method of the pieces.
There were obvious incursions happened to the thinner portion of the glaze.
The toads were in uniquely fiercing look which was a iconological characteristic of the dated periods...
