A finely moulded biscuit glazed Wang Binrong style porcelain vase decorated with the eight buddhist emblems and two Qianlong style dragons. The base has a moulded CHINA mark indicating that this item was made post 1891 for export during either the late Guangxu or early Republic period (circa 1895-1920). Antique Chinese yellow nephrite snuff bottle with a flat lip and oval foot rim. The interior is well hollowed out, the exterior is unadorned, 18th/19th century. It measures 2.75" tall 2"1/8" wide 3/4" deep.

Rare early 20th century Yi minority lacquered box constructed from leather. I purchased this piece in a Bai minority, weekly market in Yunnan near Dali around 2002. I assume this is now an extinct craft no longer being done because of the availability of cheap plastic items as well as the migration of artisans to better paying jobs in the city. Very minor lacquer losses on the edge. Excellent condition. H: 5cm/2in

Tea bowl with charming decoration in Famille rose enamels and iron-red depicting a family scene, perhaps a birthday celebration: a boy and a young man are leading a cow up to the Pater Familias where he is resting comfortably under a blossoming tree, while two smiling ladies are bringing him presents, one of them carrying what looks like a teapot and the other a fish. Diameter "3/ 7.8 cm, height "1 2/3 / 4.2 cm. Condition: fine.
