A Unique Sculpture for the Scholar’s table (Chinese: Gongshi), it looks like made of a kind of cypress wood, Interesting details, with hols and crevasses and high peeks creating an image of high flames with a brown reddish patina. Hard wood fitted base. Size: H 40 x W 23 x D 18 cm. China , beginning of 20 century. Very good condition, the picture do not render well enough the beauty of the piece!

A fine and unusual brush rest in the shape of a dragon-fish or some similar mythological animal. Carved of what appears to be boxwood with a dark-reddish lacquer coating. On the bottom side an illegible signature in raised relief consisting of two Chinese characters. Qing, probably second half of 18th cent. L 15 cm. Condition: Fine all-over, but with wear due to age & handling.

Wonderfully life-like box in the form of a turtle, made of painted porcelain, the shell lifts off as the lid of the box, the turtle raises his head with a slight smile, great attention to detail, Chinese, early 20th century. Size: 3 1/4" high x 9" long x 5 1/2" wide

Original Antique Chinese terracotta tomb sculpture of a tall, thin walking man. Extremely well-detailed with pleasing facial expression, hair worn in a knot style typical to that time period. The shoulders are pierced all the way through the torso. Unusual to see one in the walking stance. Included with custom display stand. Dates from the Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD). Beautiful Chinese hardwood seal treasure box, possible Zitan or Wumu wood,with all over carved design of complex geometric motifs and dragons. Four drawers are hidden on each side with dividers inside for storing and organizing seals. Its stand is intricately carved with spirals and flowers. Dates from the 20th century. Size: 9.75" L x 9.75" W x 6" H

Antique Ming Dynasty Chinese iron plaque of buddhas from the Ming Dynasty. Each Buddha is seated on a lotus blossom with hands in the dhyana mudra of meditation. Between each buddha is an inscription of chinese characters. The unusual plaque has been forged in Iron. Early to Mid Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1912) It measures 25.25" wide by 26.25" tall by 1.5" deep.

A rare and very unusual underglaze blue decorated Gu shaped Altar Vase with fine crackular glaze. This item was made in Southern China, probably during the second half of the Qing dynasty. Condition: damaged - with very old (possibly Chinese) double stapled and lead infilled repairs. 31cm (12 inches) high.

This is an attractive and unsigned Japanese Cloisonne that looks very similar to some of the signed Hayashi Hachizaemon pieces we have seen. It stands 6 inches tall and is in excellent condition.

Dehua porcelain, more traditionally known in the west as Blanc de Chine, is a type of white Chinese porcelain, made at Dehua in the Fujian Province. It as been produced from the Ming Dynasty to the present day.

This large Chinese porcelain Dehua figure is of the Goddess of Compassion, Quan Yin. Her draped robes show well rendered, realistic modeling. A willow sprig peeks out from under her headdress...

Very unusual necklace made with nine (9) handmade metal bells. Each unique bell is separated by thin metal discus spacers. Size end to end: 60 cms or 23 inches. Age: 19th century or earlier.

Pair of 19th century Chinese porcelain bowls with custom stands. In excellent antique condition, the dishes each measure 8.25" long, 6" wide, and 2.75" high. Displayed on the stand, it measures 6 inches high. There is one tiny chip to the rim which, if you look carefully, you can see it in the last photo. One of the stands is missing a small piece of wood, but it does not affect the stability of the stand. Rare to find such an attractive set of bowls...

Antique Chinese pair of square hardwood tables. Each table is inset with a large square porcelain panel which sits into the top and is removable. The panels are glazed with scrolling vines and flowers with bats in the corners on a greenish blue ground. Each table has a solid shelf and swirling aprons.

An unusual small sized Jumu (chinese elm) hardwood Chinese altar cabinet with hand forged brass pulls and hardware. Side panels with hand carved reticulated flowers, long underside panel carved with similar floral motif, large open interior space for storage, beautiful wood grain. Overall in excellent original condition with stunning light natural finish.

A most unusual square porcelain bowl with scalloped corners. Iy is brightly enameled with a plethora of flowers. Each corner features a bat that symbolizes fortune and good luck. This lovely Chinese bowl is in exceptional shape with minimal wear, no hairlines, chips, and free from restoration. Dated to the late 19th century, it measures 4.5 inches across by 2.25" high.

Vase in the shape of 2 intertwined fish forming only one individual. Chinese ceramic enameled in turquoise blue with black details. The mount is in cast bronze and gilded with mercury, it is in 2 parts, thus allowing it to be assembled around the tail of the fish. It is of high quality "Rocaille" style and certainly from the early 18th century...
