A very rare figure of a Tang lady seated on a barrel stool in a long robe and large hairdo gently holding a dog. Original Tang figures look beautiful at all angles. Made of a fine red colored clay, it was originally painted but the slip and color have worn away revealing only the clay underneath.

Period: Tang (7th - 10th Century)

Size: Height = 17.8 cm (7 inches)

Condition: The original head had broken off when found but has been re-attached.

A rare glazed, genuine SONG/YUAN glazed Celadon pot with molded flowers/foliage and 2 loops, 14th Century. The bottom glazed area also has a fine and rare molded flower motif. The foot itself remained unglazed. Diameter 7.5 cm x height 6 cm. This fine and rare Celadon was found in the Musi river, close to Palembang City, which was the Capital of the SRIVIJAYA KINGDOM, and which had a vast trade network with China and Siam. Rare TALL Chinese Liao Dynasty Stoneware Jar (AD 907 - 1125)

This rare stoneware jar was made during the Liao Dynasty (AD 907 - 1125). It is particularly "heavily-potted" and coated with a thick and uneven olive-green glaze, both inside and out. In places the glaze has not vitrified properly leaving a matt appearance. The mouth has sagged a little to one side during firing. The flat base remains unglazed revealing the pale pinkish-brown body.

Rare Tall Chinese Xixia Dynasty Glazed Stoneware Jar

This tall cylindrically-shaped storage jar comes from Ningxia in north-west China and dates to the Xixia Dynasty (1038 - 1227). It is "heavily-potted" and coated in a thick glaze, the colour varying from black to brown according to its thickness. This jar must have been placed close to other vessels in the kiln during firing as there are several kiln scars to the upper body...
