Exceptionally rare, handled drinking vessel from the Liao (Khitan) people, circa 907 CE to 1279 CE. There are very few Liao pottery pieces in collections today so this piece would of interest to anyone specializing in this period. Libatory cup in Chinese soft porcelain. The cup is made with a mold in 2 parts, on the side you can see the junction mark. It is decorated in relief with 2 dragons, a crane in flight and a deer. The clay is white covered by a transparent glaze.Usually, these white Chinese cups are made of hard porcelain, those made of soft paste like this are rarer. The cup is in good condition there is only a small chip on the upper edge which is clearly visible in photos. China 18th century. No repair...

A small lidded jar or bowl, Kangxi period, c 1700. Clobbered in iron red, green, black and gilt over the original under-glaze blue decoration, for the European (Dutch?) market. The base with an “Asian” seal mark in iron red. Height, including lid "2¾/ 7 cm. Condition: the lid with some rubbing to the gilt, otherwise fine.

Lohan in Chinese porcelain covered with "famille verte" enamels.The deity is represented standing holding a flowers basket in his hand, it is probably Lan Caihe, one of the 8 Taoist immortals otherwise known as the 8 Baxian. The dress is decorated with flowers, butterflies and clouds in green, yellow and manganese enamels on a cream background. Hairs and details in black enamel. Good condition except a very little chip. A wondreful Chinese wood panel with three goats, an auspicious symbol of peace, harmony and good fortune. The panel was painted with red lacquer and then gold gilt was applied. As a decorative piece it would look great over hung over a doorway or above a large painting. In very good condition, it measures just short of 24 inches long by 7 3/4" high.
