The woven coils, simulating the dragons’ bodies, and the gap between the horned heads allow the bracelet to be “sized” to any wrist. Very decorative and an authentically old piece of tribal jewelry...

Sold to USA - June 2011 售至美国 - 2011年6月 A small enamelled copper box, the cover depicting a grasshopper or cricket amongst grasses and flowers. The base carries a "CHINA" stamp which dates it to post 1890. This item was probably made circa 1900, during the latter years of the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). The woollen rug has a design of a blue winding dragon with open mouth; all around are Buddhist auspicous symbols like the flaming Pearl and clouds.

Sold in our Liverpool shop - February 2019 / 利物浦店内售出 - 2019年2月 A finely carved and moulded Zisha clay stoneware teapot with a Tang dynasty style marbed band and with applied leaf and Prunus blossom decoration. This item was made in the vicinity of the city of Yixing, Jiangsu province, in the Yangze River Delta region of eastern China.
The base carries the impressed sealmark of its maker Kuai Xin Long born 25th May 1964.
Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration.
18cm (7 inches) long; 11.5cm (4.5 inches) high.

Sold to UK - May 2014 售至英国 - 2014年5月 A rare late Ming Dynasty thickly potted jar decorated in underglaze blue with a key-fret pattern around the neck; on the shoulder a Kraak style diaper pattern encloses four circular panels, each containing a fruiting peach branch; above the foot are stylized breaking waves; the large central area is painted on each side with nine boys, at leisure, in a garden setting...
With a floral decoration. Marked at the bottom with an Artemisia leaf. China, late Ming, ca. 1640. H. 14,5 cm. Condition: minor chips, firing flaws.

A heavily potted porcelain jar, made in two horizontal parts, with an underglaze blue floral decoration.
South Chinese work from the 16th/17th century. H. 21 cm, D. 19 cm.
Condition: very good, no damage or repairs, the glaze is a bit dull and has craquelé because this jar was excavated and spent 4 centuries under the soil.
Provenance: in my private collection since I found this jar in Beijing in the late 90’s.
A Chinese wucai sleeve vase, late Ming dynasty, Chongzheng, brightly painted with Buddhistic lions among peony. Height 26.5 cms. Good condition.

Late Qing dynasty Porcelain with molded relief & celadon glaze h: 23 cm Perfect condition (the tiny, shallow chip to inner footrim is practicaly nothing) From a MA, USA collection This vase is of a fine, stately hexagonal shape, molded with archaic kuilong designs reminiscent of ancient Chinese bronze work. The celadon glaze is delicate in its greenish-blue shade, and quite thick. The paste is also quite good for 19th century. |
