Very rare complete jacket back panel from the remote Miao Jiupang group from Jiahe County, Guizhou province (see last enlargement), with purple embroidered pattern between the spaces in the tin decoration. This style of decoration is unique to this group and very difficult to make, as every tiny bit of tin has to be individually cut and crimped. Recently acquired from a private Hong Kong collector, these are the first examples I have send of these I have seen in the past 10 years...

Jizhou Tortoise Tenmoku tea bowl of Southern Song (around 13th century) with paper-cut Phoenix design. It was once part of the Taiwan National Palace Museum.

Chinese serigraph print on rice paper by artist Hon Chew Hee (1906-1993) titled "Junkboat Musicians". Hee was a Hawaiian born artist who went to China at the age of 14 to study Chinese brush painting. Titled and signed in pencil at the bottom, #24/26. It is set behind a glass frame. Song Dynasty Jun ware brush shaper or brushwasher. This was originally the base of flower vase which was later reworked into a scholar’s object. The brown clay indicates this was fired in Henan and in my opinion is representative of the kind that was acquired for the Imperial Qing collection rather then the more typical bowls and saucers. The top surface has more discoloration and minor scratches which indicates, that the repurposing was done some time ago...

Small phosphatic glazed earthenware jar with double handles. Reddish brown clay covered with dull black glaze with several mottled white glaze splashes. Jun-type pottery as made in the Tang dynasty, China, 19th century or earlier.
Height 5 ¾ inches (14.9 cm).
Black glaze dull, showing water streaks, one chip on back of one of the loop handles, some dirt residue. Otherwise good condition.

17th Century Chinese Blue & White Porcelain Tea Cup & Saucer

The cup is 1.2 inches (3.2 cm) tall by 1.65 inches (4.3 cm) wide. The saucer is 0.65 inches (1.6 cm) tall by 6.7 inches (6.7 cm) wide. They are 36.6 gram.

It has skip glaze, dark spots and surface wears (as seen in the photos).

A Kangxi period very large baluster- shaped jar and cover, decorated in blue and white with the body showing 36 panels each enclosing a composition of butterflies amongst leafy peony sprays. The borders also reflect a floral image whilst the cover repeats the themes of the panels. This impressive example is of monumental size 57cm (22 and 1/2 inches) high and boasts a vibrant and even blue colour and meticulous painting ...

Decorated with dragon and phoenix. Extremely fine quality. Diameter 11 cm. Height 4,5 cm. Condition: Minor firing flaw with related discoloring at the bottom part of the box, otherwise very good. Kangxi (1662-1722).

This is one of the most well painted Kangxi "flower basket" plates I've seen, in an excellent shade of Kangxi cobalt blue. Please compare with a similar "flower basket" plate in the British Museum (Franks.221).
