Chinese longquan celadon jar with cover. Song / Yuan dynasty. Good conditions. 8 cm high. 8 cm body diameter.

Description:

A high-footed Qingbai censer was in decent form.
By flat mouth rim. the censer was stand with floral stem foot.
In characteristic lake-green tint, the glaze was suffused with whitish incursions when frets were observed on the ridges of the floral patterns.
Characteristic and darken firing effects were yielded on the body clay inside the stem foot.

Date: Northern Song Dynasty, 11th/12th century.

A nice pair of Chinese Northern Song dynasty celadon roundels decorated with twin fish and sea waves around them. Products of Jiangxi or Fujian province. These pieces are not shards or cover, the side edges are meant to leave unglaze, therefore they are individuals pieces. Not sure their usage, probably kitchenware or imitation of bronze mirror. Famous the Jianyao bowl was produced to aim real black one, however various types was born because of the change of kiln condition, for example higher temperature or air inflow etc. These small cups were used for the sake of examination of water at the tea ceremony called "Tocha/Japanese, Gedou cha/Chinese". Rare Chinese Yuan Dynasty Black Pottery Horse

This small and attractive pottery model of a horse was made during the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368). It is quite "heavily-potted" and made from a black pottery with a smooth burnished surface. Note the detail to its mane. Pottery horses from the Yuan dynasty are much rarer than those from other periods.

Fine Chinese Song Dynasty Qingbai Porcelain Bowl in Kiln Saggar (Study Piece)

A rare opportunity to acquire a Northern Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1127) kiln saggar still containing its Qingbai porcelain bowl, excavated from a kiln site in the Jingdezhen area of Jiangxi province. 

Northern Song Dynasty Qingbai porcelain was fired individually in saggars (the fireproof clay case) that were stacked on top of each other in the kiln...

Height approximately 28 cm. There was a chip at the rim and repaired. There is a hairline. In good condition.

Fine & Rare Chinese Yuan Dynasty Black Pottery Censer

We have recently been lucky enough to have acquired a collection of very rare examples of burnished black pottery items made during the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368). Such items are relatively unknown and very little has been published about them. They are found in the northern provinces, particularly Gansu province in the north-west.

An outstanding Chinese Yuan dynasty imperial Shufu white glaze plate with molded continuous lotus motifs and incised "Shu" and "Fu" characters on both side of the plate.
