Two solid pottery sculptures with the original painting. H. 22,5 and 20,5 cm. Both in very good condition, although invisible restaurations are quite common on these early archaeological pieces. Thermoluminescence report by Laboratory Kotalla is included. Tang Dynasty (618-907)

Characteristically the body clay revealed was in dense and greasy feel quality. It was kept in perfect condition when some incursion was found on the surface. Date: Song Dynasty, 12th century. Height: 6 cm, A Custom-Made cotton box is included. Ribbed dish, diameter 34 cm. Stains and discoloring due to the long time this piece spent in the soil. Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368). Massive Chinese Jin to Yuan dynasty (12th/13th century) Henan dark brown/black glazed horizontally ribbed ovoid form stoneware jar with high, wide shoulders narrowing at the base. The thick glaze drips down toward the flat, unglazed base. The rich black/brown glaze, referred to as “temmoku” by the Japanese, is highlighted by a russet colored cylindrical neck and rim. Measures about 13” high x 13 1/2” diameter. Very good overall condition with typical surface scratches to the glaze.
