Antique Chinese celadon ware vase or jar with a round, stout body, short neck with two hollow handles, raised lotus petal motif along the bottom. Slightly raised lotuses and sunflowers decorate around the upper body. Longquan celadons were an important part of China's export economy for over five-hundred years (960 - 1644). The handles have been carved elaborately with creeping vine motifs, while two carved hard stone rings hang from each one. The lid has been carved with the same vine motif and large finial. Antique Chinese porcelain censer in the form of a lotus pod with wonderfully sculpted, red-accented petals. The lid is gilt and the handles are two lotus buds with curled leaves. A Chinese 19 C. pearl shell beautifully pierced and carved with a dragon coiled all around. Its natural form and luminous surface with fine carving makes this object a joy to behold. age; 19 C. size: 18 cm. condition; very good indeed, no restoration, no breaks.

DESCRIPTION: A Chinese scholar’s calligraphy brush, the brush crafted with natural bristles encased in a horn ferrule. These are secured with a silver band to a pitted green jade handle inscribed with archaic characters and terminating in a round knob. A quality, well made brush in excellent condition, most likely dating to the latter Qing Dynasty to early republic Period. DIMENSIONS: 9 ¼” long (23.5 cm).

Finely potted porcelain bowl, painted in pale famille rose enamels with fruiting and flowering gourd vines. The outside decorated with four "dragon and phoenix" medallions on a yellow ground. Base with iron red six character "Guangxu" mark. Condition: foot rim with an over glazed tiny chip (see photo no. 3), some wear to gilding. Dimension: Diameter: 13.8 cm, 5.9 cm high.
