Old (1900's) Chinese Robin's Egg Glazed Porcelain Snuff Bottle

It is 2.9 inches (7.4 cm) tall by 1.6 inches (4 cm) wide. It is 67.5 gram.

It has dark spots, skip glace and surface scratches (as seen in the photos).

It is amazing that about half of the snuff still remains in this bottle. Lacking a stopper, it was stuffed with tissue when we received it. We added the stopper for display purposes. The scene surrounding the bottle depicts a person riding a buffalo towards a mountain range while pointing behind him to the man with an umbrella. The bottle has a network of crackles stained over to a pale brownish tone. There are some pin pricks from firing, maybe bits of ash. Dates 1800s. 3 inches high.

This is an exceptional Famille Rose and Encre de Chine Porcelain Snuff Bottle of globular form, with a gilded ruyi band decorated straight neck, a wide gilded mouth, and a raised recessed oval footing. The entire bottle is decorated with scrolling Encre de Chine Vines and pink lotus blossoms, set atop a white background. It comes with a two-tone green celadon jade stopper in the form of a flattened capsule...
