Chinese zitan wood ink well, with gold flecks throughout the natural graining. The top is carved with geometric patterns and two wells for ink. The opposite side is hand carved with calligraphy inscription.

Dimensions: 6 1/2" x 4 1/4" x 1"

This offered painting dates from the early or the mid Qing-Dynasty around the 17th. and 18th. century.

It was impossible to identify the artist, but it is obvious that he was a great painter of his time...

17th century scene of "Son Returns Home After Making His Fortune to the Surprise of His Family". Hand painted with inks on silk, we are dating this painting pre 1900. Not examined out of frame, it looks to be in excellent antique condition. Measures in frame 20" x 38" high, site size 14" 27" high.

Beautiful antique Chinese scroll with two images painted by ladies of the court from the late Ching Dynasty, circa 1900. Each image has an inscription with a cartouche. It is painted with sumie ink and mineral pigments. The overall width is 14", the images measure 10.25" wide by 9.25" tall.

The central panel is the longest with misty landscapes, signed Yi Long with three red chops. The last panel with small calligraphy inscription and three red chops. Antique Chinese framed scroll depicting the bodhisattva of compassion, Quan Yin. She is dressed in long, flowing robes with metal rings, and a crown of the Amitābha Buddha. She holds in her left hand a small jar filled with pure water, and in her right the branch of a willow tree. She stands barefoot on the head of a dragon, with a white parrot carrying long beads in its mouth flying overhead. Her two young acolytes, a girl named Longnü and a boy named Shancai, stand at her sides...
