Chinese Han dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD) pottery jar with splayed neck and everted rim covered overall with an iridescent green lead glaze. Characteristic kiln support remnants are on the base and mouth. 5 1/2" high x about 5” diameter. Very good overall condition. This jar is from an Arizona collection. It was purchased in 1996 from Lam’s Gallery in Hong Kong.

A large, highly decorative, antique Chinese wall vase which shows a jar, with a frontal clock and two rams heads, that is filled with lotus flowers, leafs, pods and buds. The vase and its contents are potted from non-porcelain pottery clay and fired at a low temperature. The front of the vase is colored with over-glaze enamels. The vessel stands on three sturdy legs, each in the form of a bear. Its outer wall is further decorated with a pair of taotie mask handles and bands of surrounding grooves...

Large Chinese Song Dynasty Painted Pottery Tile of a Warrior

This rare and unusual pottery tile depicts an armoured warrior. It was made during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279). It is made from a grey pottery that has been "cold painted" in a base coat of white pigment on top of which have been applied various different coloured pigments. This tile depicts a formidable warrior. Note the thick-set facial features, also the headgear and the decorative armour he wears...

Rare Chinese Warring States Covered Pottery Stem Jar (475 - 221 BC)

This attractively-shaped pottery vessel with its flared foot and pear-shaped body was made during the Warring States period (475 - 221 BC). It is "heavily-potted", made from a fine-grained grey pottery and has a smooth burnished surface. Although not immediately obvious, the outer wall of the cover has been lightly decorated with thin lightly incised or polished bands.

Rare Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Buddhist Pottery Lotus Leaf Jar - Dharma Wheel

This interesting pottery jar was made during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279), or possibly the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368) and has been been excavated from a Buddhist site in Yunnan province...

Unusual grey pottery jar from the syncretic Buddhist Dali Kingdom circa 982CE–1253CE, which was located in present day Yunnan. The Dali State was not fully absorbed into the Chinese Empire until the Ming Dynasty, although it did accept Mongol control and were by and large allowed to manage their own affairs as long as they contributed soldiers. This jar has mysterious animal appliqued faces well as Buddhist images set against peepul tree leaves (Bodhi Tree)...

Small northern Song Dynasty celadon plate decorated with lotus leaf pattern to underside. In good condition other than some wear to glaze due to use and age and small chip to glaze on rim. Nice symmetrical shape. Diameter: 5.50 inches; Height: 1.50 inches.

Early 20th century Chinese hand made moss green pottery storage jar featuring an unusual cut out in the lid for easy lifting. The jar interior is glazed dark brown with the rim having a clear glaze. The green glaze is thick and rich. The lid has 3 small chips on the exterior unglazed part of the rim that can be studied in the photos, otherwise in excellent condition. This is a very special jar measuring 6 inches, 7 inches diameter.
