An unusually elaborate pottery figure of a female Attendant, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD.), dating to late Ming periodc. 1550-1600 AD.

The lady is clad in a large thick robe, with an imposing hairdress and she is wearing a basket with red flowers and is standing on a round plint. She is glazed in torquise and dark blue colours.

Nicely painted facial details, careful thick glazing and a fine expression.

Chinese Tang Dynasty Painted Pottery Horse (AD 618 - 906)

This attractive pottery model of a horse was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). It is made from a buff-coloured pottery that has been "cold painted" in white and reddish-brown pigments. This horse is well-modelled and stands upright and alert with its head turned slightly to its left.

A very nice pair of decorative pottery figures of Soldiers, China, dating to Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644 AD.

The soldiers are dressed in dark blue and turqouise glazed uniforms with harness and helmets. Each are carrying a weapon - an axe and a sword. They are placed on square plints. Helmets and boots in pigmented colors.

Height: c. 22-23 cm.

Large Chinese Han Dynasty Painted Pottery Sheep Jar

This large and unusual pottery vessel in the form of a recumbent ram was made during the Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220). It has a thick cylindrical neck on its back quite a wide opening. Possible this vessel was used as base for the pole of a banner or screen support. Traces of the original "cold painted" coloured pigments can be seen.

Size: The cow measure c. 10 cm in legnth.

Lovely pottery small lead glazed stove from the Eastern Han Dynasty (202 BCE – 220 CE). Minor fritting and a couple of chips on the upper corners, but overall, in very good condition for a two thousand year old piece. There are still random traces of the silver patina on the surface.
