Brush case, nicely embossed with an openwork decoration representing three stylised Buddhist vajras on either side, surrounded with a foliage and geometric design. Silver alloy, with a fine age patina. The center of each vajra must have contained a coral or turquoise to enhance the beauty of the case. The case was made in Tibet in the 19th century, maybe earlier. Length: 33.5 cm. Very good condition .

Small Chinese Bi-form white jade ornament in the Mughal manner with cupped chrysanthemum petals in three, concentric, graduated circles surrounding a cross-hatched, pierced center. The flat verso cupped slightly toward the face along the rim, with small drilling (exhibiting hand craftsmanship) either side of the central aperture and with the surface exhibiting natural texture of the hand worked surface. A wonderful matching pair of Chinese pottery figures of male and female attendants. The figures date to Ming Dynasty 1368-1644 AD.

They are both dressed in robes glazed matching torqouise and dark blue colors. They are placed on plints and each carry a box in front of the chest. He wewars a black hat, and shea has an artfully styled hairdress. The heads are attachable.

Facial details were made with fragile pigment colors of which some remains.

A unusually elaborate pottery figure of female Attendant, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD.), dating to late Ming period c. 1550-1650 AD.

The lady wears a challenging dress, baring her shoulders and bosom. She has an imposing hairdress with flowers, and a flirting facial expression. She carries a large can for wine in her hand, and is standing on a round plint. She is glazed in tourqouise and dark blue colours.

A big Samurai clay doll made of Fushimi clay of the Kyoto area. He is standing proud and strong in the position of drawing a sword.

It is a figure with pleasing and charming signs of time and rests of colours. The Samurai figure dates from the late 19th. century or probably earlier.

Normally all the clay dolls are somehow originated from the Fushimi clay of the Kyoto area. They have been sold as souvenirs to the pilgrims on the road of Fushimi Kaidou from Kyoto to Fushimi ...

Chinese Qing (Kangxi or Yongzheng) Dynasty deep cobalt blue under-glaze snuff bottle depicting a Dragon in the clouds and a smaller Dragon in the waves near the base. Wonderful shape, vivid colors with beautiful artistry. Unfortunately, there are several chips at the base and this piece is therefore priced accordingly. Cork stopper, no lid. DESCRIPTION: A nice old Chinese toggle carved from a striated wood in the form of two peaches. The peach is a symbol of longevity, and this thick toggle has a wonderful aged patina that only comes from age and handling. Strung with a cord through the holes under the stems, it would have hung from a sash and been used as a counterweight to a tobacco pouch or other utilitarian object.
