A modern sculpture from one solid piece is Acacia wood entitled "Whimsical Dancing Ballet of Ribbons." It is a free form standing object of art with its foot stem mounted in a custom made iron stand. Originating from Southeast Asia, this beautiful statue was made in Thailand.

Nepalese Wood Stele of Bharayvasati and his Consort. Wonderfully carved with crowned headdresses , his eight outstretched arms holding attributes, standing on vanquished foe, consort riding on lion, atop a lotus thorne, lowest level with devotees.

Antique Nepalese Bronze Bodhisatva seated on lotus throne. Depicted lovely and delicate detailing with five pointed crown headdress with small head on deer on left shoulder. Hands raised in prayer, hand holding lotus and other had holding rope. Unusual imagery on back of lotus throne of conch shell and running deer. Detachable base from figure.

Antique Tibetan gilt bronze Tara diety, seated with left hand raised and thumb and forefinger touching and right hand resting on knee. Eye drawn on forehead and palms of both hands. Dressed in royal garb. Beautiful serene expression. Well worn, remnants of blue pigment on hair.

Chinese Han Dynasty Gilt Bronze Chimera Wonderful Chinese Han Dynasty figure of a chimera. The mythical creature is whimsically posed with it's head turned over it's shoulder and it's mouth wide with it's tongue out. It's feet are hooves and on it's back are wings. Made of bronze and gilded, beautiful patina, eyes are made of inlaid turquoise.

Thai Antique Bronze Figure of Ksitigarbha and Demons Beautiful and unusual antique Thai gilt bronze figure of the Bodhisatva Ksitigarbha, called the Bodhisatva of Hell Beings because of his vow: "If the Hell is not empty, I will not attain Buddhahood". He is dedicated to revealing all the secrets of the teachings of Buddha to all sentient beings whether they be on earth or in Hell...

A nice set of 6 graduated Burmese HINTHA BIRD OPIUM WEIGHTS. The tallest measures 4.5" high. Heavy weight.

Head of Buddha with a serene expression. Grey sandstone, with some remnants of the original lacquering and gilding at the back. Ears partly missing, nose restored. Thai Ayuthaya period, 16th/17th century. The head is nicely mounted on a custom stand. Height of the head: 18 cm.

This ancient "Boat Money", also called Lat money, is similar to Tiger Tongues and from the same area: Lan Chang Kingdom of Southeast Asia (Thailand & Laos today, back then Siam). Instead of the bumps seen on Tiger Tongues, boat money has a depression in the top and looks more like a boat, hence the name. Boat money was first issued in the 16th century. In 1707, Lan Chang divided into the two kingdoms of Luang Prabang and Vientiane...

Unusual Thai architectural sculpture known as a chofa. These beast-like ornaments embellish temple and palace rooftops as a symbol of power and protection. Natural patina and remnants of red show antiquity. A photo is shown to demonstrate how a chofa would look while still in place on a temple roof. The temple shown is in Chiang Mai, the largest and most culturally rich city in Thailand.

A small Sino-Tibetan bronze figure seated in meditation atop a lotus pedestal, with copper plated base impressed with a double vajra consecration mark. The robes on the figure are incised with repeating double happiness symbols.

A divine, smiling SHAN STATE BRONZE BUDDHA subduing Mara position, sitting on a high stepped throne. Good condition overall, has some naturally formed verdigris patina and very little soil remnants. Size: height 16 cm x width at base 9.5 cm. (6 1/4" x 3 3/4"). Very fine Buddha statue!

Antique Vietnamese polychromed figure of a standing Buddha, with red, black, and gold gilt lacquer traces. He stands on a lotus pedestal atop a wood platform. With small losses consistent with age.
