A Korean, Maebyeong, plum blossom vase; C14th. Its broad, round shoulders and tapering waist are covered overall with a celadon glaze. This ash-derived glaze has run and made rivulets down the side of the vase, which along with the asymetrical shape, contributes to a very wab-sabi feel to this Maebyeong.
