Sold, Thank you. Two pieces of urumi-zome cloth which are made of hand-spun cotton and vegetable indigo dye. Urumi-zome is katazome (stencil-resist-dye) imitating shibori-zome (tie-dye) and it requires more process than common katazome to make blurring like shibori. Both have rips but other part of the cloth is not weak. The right one has a patch in the back. The second half of the 19th century. Right one:75cm x 126cm, Left one:65cm x 126cm

Birds fly past, a calendar for March hangs on the wall, and her dog is beside her. Pencil-signed, titled, and numbered 10/30 in the lower margin. Paper size 28 1/2" x 21 1/2" (plate: 23 1/4" x 19 1/4"). Very good overall condition. There is some wrinkling of the heavy paper at the large margin corners...

On the final page "Published by Tamamura, Photographer, Kobe, Japan" and in Japanese,"published in the 38th year of Meiji (1905). . ... Japanese limited-edition mezzotint depicting a traditional village in snow by Koichi Sakamoto (b. 1932) titled “Enduring Village No. 1.” The print is pencil-signed, titled in English and kanji, and numbered 68/100 in the lower margin. Dates circa 1982. The artist’s watermark is in the lower right margin. Paper size: 9” x 11” (plate about 5 1/2” x 6 1/2”). The white archival mat folder measures about 12 1/2” x 13 1/2.” Excellent overall condition...
